Provet Cloud’s e-prescription has Swedish authority approval

The e-Hälsomyndigheten in Sweden accepts Provet Cloud’s e-prescription as the first one developed by a foreign service provider.

E-Hälsomyndigheten (eHm) is a Swedish government agency responsible for registers and IT functions. Sweden is reportedly the only country in Europe to use the animal e-prescriptions.

Finnish Net Solutions built a function in Provet Cloud for electronic prescriptions to transfer to the pharmacy according to the requirements set by eHm. Provet Cloud’s e-prescription has been approved by e-Hälsömyndigheten.

“We worked closely with eHm. Security issues meet the standards required in Sweden,” says FNS Group Manager Julius Leppälä.

Creating an electronic prescription in Provet Cloud is easy. In addition to the animal and owner information, a suitable medicine is selected from the medicine panel. Information transfers to the pharmacy electronically and safely.

“The introduction of the e-prescription reduces paperwork. All information is stored electronically in the database. The validity of the e-prescription is checked at the same time, in case there is something missing or you need to change some information. The prescription is definitely all right when the medicine is being collected from the pharmacy,” says Leppälä.

“The e-prescription built according to Sweden’s requirements is part of our service concept. We provide tailor-made services that our customers need,” says FNS CEO Janne Huttunen.

The e-prescription is included in Provet Cloud’s Premium version.
